Two Loans Granted to Social Enterprises in Eastern Ukraine with Marchenko Partners’ Help

Marchenko Partners advised Western NIS Enterprise Fund in connection with financing of two social enterprises in Eastern Ukraine – Veterano Pizza Mariupol and AnVita clinic medical center in Dobropillia, Donetsk region.  The financing was provided together with Oschadbank, and these loans were granted within the “Affordable Loans for Social Enterprises in Eastern Ukraine” project.

Veterano Pizza is a well-known social enterprise in Ukraine that supports the ATO / JFO veterans. The loan their Mariupol establishment has received will be used for purchasing of the required equipment, carrying out maintenance works and hiring new employees. As for the AnVita clinic medical center in Dobropillia, the funds will be used to buy equipment for a medical lab, thus enhancing the quality of services this establishment provides.

Marchenko Partners’ team included Senior Associate Bogdan Burlaka and Associate Oleksandr Poznyakov, led by Partner Roman Shulyar.

“Our team is happy that the new project of WNISEF, our longstanding client, continues to support social enterprises in Eastern Ukraine. Two more loans have been granted, which means additional well-paid jobs, higher quality of services, and making lives better in our country overall, which is really motivating,” Roman Shulyar says.
