Newsletter: The Beginning of the End for Cybersquatters in Ukraine?

On December 19, 2019 UA Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (“UA-DRP”) started to apply to .COM.UA third-level domain name registrations.

Although the adoption of the UA-DRP for .UA second-level domain name registrations was a significant breakthrough in the resolution of domain disputes in Ukraine, its use has been quite limited.

The extension of UA-DRP to .COM.UA third-level domain name registrations provides a much wider range of rightsholders with an effective remedy to protect their intellectual property rights on the Internet.
