Marchenko Partners Advised WNISEF on yet Another Loan Granted within Impact Investing Program

Marchenko Partners acted for Western NIS Enterprise Fund in connection with financing granted to Smachni Spravy LLC. This is the 19th loan granted within the Impact Investing Program.

The Impact Investing Program was initiated in 2016 by WNISEF in partnership with Oschadbank and Kredobank. It allows social enterprises (businesses that implement social or environmental programs or resolve certain social issues) to get access to Hryvnia-denominated low-interest loans. Over the last 3 years, our lawyers not only helped WNISEF to launch the Impact Investing Program but also advised on each of 19 loans granted within the program to the social enterprises from all over Ukraine.

Smachni Spravy LLC is a social enterprise in Brovary, Kyiv Region, specializing in the production of meat products. The company’s social impact is that it employs persons displaced from the territory of eastern Ukraine affected by military actions.

“We are pleased to help our long-standing client Western NIS Enterprise Fund in continuous implementation of the Impact Investing Program. We strongly believe that social enterprising concept underlying the Impact Investing Program can change the country’s economy to the better and improve the everyday life of many Ukrainians”, – said Roman Shulyar, Partner, Marchenko Partners.

The project was handled by Associate Bogdan Burlaka and Junior Associate Oleksandr Pozniakov under the coordination of Partner Roman Shulyar.
