In the past two months, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted several Laws aimed at substantial improvement of the Ukrainian intellectual property legislation. These Laws introduced a number of legislative changes aimed at harmonization of the Ukrainian intellectual property legislation with the EU law.
In particular, the Laws established the National Intellectual Property Authority on the basis of the State Enterprise Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute and introduced a list of major changes to the regulation of inventions, utility models, industrial designs, and trademarks.
